Event Details

In 2021, Eugene Kangawa became the youngest artist in history at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo to do a solo show, EUGENE STUDIO After the Rainbow. Born in the United States in 1989, his paintings and installations are making an impact inside and outside Japan. What are Kangawa's motivations and where does he get his inspirations?

In this installment of Art for Breakfast this September, Kangawa will speak about his journey as an artist. He will share his turning points of how we came to be through his works as "Image/ Imagine", where all stages of the works were created in complete darkness. His creative base since 2020 is EUGENE STUDIO. The space was designed by the artist and his team which has become a medium for embodying his aesthetics.

Please join us to get insights into Kangawa's multifaceted works that are attracting collectors and museums. Get to know the artist and expand your imagination.
