Event Details

Germany and Japan share a deep, dense, and long history of mutual admiration and collaboration. Both nations also remain the central free economy and democratic rule of law-based socio-political powerhouses in their respective regions, the Indo-Pacific for Japan and Europe for Germany. And both nations now face similar challenges - how can domestic national interests be re-calibrated to the growing competition between the United States and China? And why the German-Japan relationship is growing even stronger.

The current German Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Dr. Clemens von Goetze, brings a wealth of experience with his prior posting as Ambassador to the People's Republic of China allowing for many unique insights into how a leading power can adapt and lead during times of rapidly evolving new global realities. Join us for what promises to be a unique insight into the realities of Germany's strengths, challenges, and opportunities.
